Driving Directions

Saco Bound, Northern Waters or Rapid River Rafting are all easily found, as are all of our outlying locations and campgrounds. You can get complete directions from your home to our location through Google Maps. It’s fast and easy. In addition, we have provided directions from several regional locations and a local map.

To Saco Bound:

  • From Boston, MA to Center Conway:
    Take Rt. 95 North to Rt. 16 North, Spaulding Tpke.(exit 4 in Portsmouth, NH off 95) Follow Rt. 16 N for appx. 80 miles to the town of Conway, NH. From the lights in Conway, take Rt. 113 East for approximately 5 miles and Saco Bound will be on your right. Google Maps Link

Note: At the lights in Conway by the Irving gas station, Rt. 16 N. takes a sharp left. DO NOT FOLLOW THIS! Continue straight on Rt. 113 East which also becomes Rt. 302 East.

  • From Portland, ME to North Conway: Take route 302 West through Fryeburg. Go 2 miles west of the Maine/New Hampshire state line to Saco Bound, on your left. Google Maps Link; Boston, MA to North Conway, NH
  • To The Saco Bound Landing & Fiddlehead Campground:
    From Saco Bound, continue east on 113/302 into the town of Fryeburg, ME. Bare left on route 5 north. Continue about 3 miles and you will go over the Saco River at Canal Bridge. Fiddlehead is the first right, just north of the bridge. Look for a small dirt road with a white flag and a sign for Fiddlehead. Drive-ins are welcomed at Fiddlehead. The Saco Bound Landing will be the first left just north of the bridge. Look for Cornshop Road. The entrance to the Landing is a small dirt road on the left marked by a sign. A permit is needed prior to camping at the Landing. From Portland, Maine and points east. Take route 302 west to route 5 north in Fryeburg, ME and continue from this point as described above.
  • From New York City to North Conway:
    Take I95 North to 91 North to 84 East to 90 east. Take interstate 95 North to Route 16 north in Portsmouth, NH. From Portsmouth continue north on Route 16 to Conway. Follow the map at the bottom of this page from Conway to Saco Bound. Google Maps Link: New York, NY to North Conway, NH

  • To Saco Bound:
    South on Route 16 to the junction of 16 and 302. Left on 302. Go about 3 miles. Turn left to stay on Route 302. Go through Center Conway and watch for Saco Bound on the right – just after the railroad tracks, on the Saco River, 2 miles east of blinking yellow light at Mill St. in Center Conway Village.
  • To Northern Waters and Rapid River Rafting:
    North on Route 16 from North Conway to Erroll, about 1 1/2 hours drive. Turn right in the center of Errol and look for Northern Waters/Rapid River Rafting at the bridge over the Androscoggin River. Google Maps Link: North Conway, NH to Erroll, NH
